Creating custom tags on our platform is a simple and effective way to manage your students more efficiently. Whether you need to organise students for lessons, clubs, or restrictions, custom tags offer a flexible solution. 

Navigating to the Students Page

First, head over to the students page on our platform. This is where you'll manage all your student-related tasks, including creating custom tags.

Create New Tag

Once you're on the students page, select 'Edit Tag Library' to view all the current tags for your school. Tags that are coloured are the ones you’ve created, while those that are greyed out are from your MIS. You can add the new tag you would like to use here.

Selecting Students

Once you have created the custom tag, you can select the students you want to include in it. Simply check the boxes next to the names of the students you wish to group together. You can select as many students as you need for your new tag.

Add Students to the New Tag

After selecting the students, find the 'Actions' menu on the page. Click on it, and you will see an option to ‘Tag Students.' Click this option to proceed. You'll be able to select the new tag you have created.

Using Your Custom Tag

Once you've created your tag, it will be available for various uses across the platform. Here are a few ways you can use your new tag:

• Assign Lessons: Easily assign lessons to the group of students associated with your custom tag. This saves time and ensures that the right students get the right lessons.
• Manage Club Memberships: If you're overseeing extracurricular activities, custom tags can help you manage club memberships more effectively.
• Apply Restrictions: Custom tags are also useful for applying specific restrictions or permissions to groups of students. This could include access to certain resources or participation in particular activities.
