What are all the permission levels and what do they mean?

Our platform has three primary permission levels: Admin, Teacher, and Peripatetic Teacher. Each level has different capabilities and access to ensure the smooth operation and management of school activities.

Admin

Admins have the highest level of access and control within the platform. Their capabilities include:

  • School Settings: Change whole school settings such as setting term dates, billing rates, and attendance codes.
  • Activity Management:  View and schedule activities for any student and teacher
  • User Management: Add, remove, and manage user accounts and their permissions.
  • Billing and Reports: Access detailed billing information and generate reports.

Teacher

Teachers have access tailored to managing their own schedules while being aware of the broader school context. Their capabilities include:

  • Activity Scheduling: Schedule their own activities and weekly plans. Create and manage lessons, clubs, and other activities.
  • School Overview: View other students and teachers as well as their schedules.

Peripatetic Teacher

Peripatetic Teachers, often visiting or part-time specialists, have focused access to manage their own students. Their capabilities include:

  • Student Management: Only able to see and interact with their assigned students. View student information, progress, and attendance specific to their lessons.
  • Activity Scheduling: Schedule their own activities and lessons for their students. Manage their own weekly plans without access to the broader school calendar.
