User Roles Overview

Admin — School leadership & office staff

Complete control over the system. Manage everything from user accounts to school-wide events and settings.

Teacher — Teaching staff

Create and edit events for your classes and department. See what's happening across the school.

Restricted Teacher — Peripatetic & visiting teachers

Access your own teaching schedule and assigned lessons. Limited access to broader school features.

Special Roles

These additional permissions can be added to any user account to grant extra capabilities:

Attendance Officer

Can manage student absences and attendance records across the school

Duties Manager

Can create and edit recurring events and duty schedules

Room Manager

Can approve, manage, and resolve conflicts for room bookings

Staff Absence Officer

Can arrange cover when teachers are absent from their events

Music Admin

Receives notifications when peripatetic music lesson times change

Departments

Staff can only edit events belonging to their assigned departments (except admins)
